A School for Social Development (SSD) is a special type of school established specially for children with adaptation difficulties. Our School has in-school social workers, special education teachers, and educational psychologist’s support services. Each class has a maximum of 15 students, giving teachers plentiful time to cater individual needs of each student.
Apart from the traditional academic and practical science subjects, every student at our School needs to attend personal and social education development courses. Both the courses and activities are tailored to the students’ needs and interests in day-to-day teaching and learning, and are supplemented by individual tutoring, group projects and large-scale activities. We emphasize students’ personal and social education development. Through school-wide activities, we facilitate the development of students’ psychological, emotional and social development, helping them understand and accept social ethics and values for future integration to the society.
All students from mainstream schools are required to apply through the Central Co-ordination Referral System (CCRM). Should you have any questions, please contact our school social worker directly.
